Inspired Minds ECC is excited to announce our brand new learning opportunity  “Indigenous Learning Series” for early childhood educators. Inspired Minds ECC is pleased to welcome our guest presenter for these sessions, Sherry Duncan, as she shares with us her vast knowledge and experiences of Indigenous ways of knowing and being and early childhood.

Every month, from August to December 2024, we will invite you to join us for these learning sessions.

NEW! Voices of Tradition; Weaving Indigenous literacy into your early childhood space 

Language and literacy is crucial in early childhood development for several reasons including; brain development, social integration, building of relationships and supporting cultural identity which connects to community and fosters a sense of identity. We will explore quality Indigenous stories through

• Oral Storytelling
• Fingerplays, songs and rhymes
• Quality Indigenous Literature
• Establishing an Indigenous literacy-rich environment
• Engaging children in culturally rich language experiences

Things to Keep in Mind:

• Registration closes 24 hours in advance!
• This workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.
• You will need access to a smartphone, laptop, tablet or computer with audio capabilities to join us.
• A link will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to the workshop. Please click the link 10 minutes before the workshop begins to join in.
• Certificate of participation will be available to registered participants.
• All registered participants will have 30 days access to the webinar recording.
