DESCRIPTION:What A Wonderful World! Culturally Diverse Practices in Child Care \nThe world is full of adventure\, possibilities and play! Our children and families come to us with different play experiences\, backgrounds\, traditions\, cultures and values. Learning and understanding how children see culture is an important part of being a citizen in our communities. In this session\, we will take a look at how to bring cultures\, traditions and values into our early childhood programs through innovative\, relevant and cultural sustainability means. From play experiences to our environments to our connections with children\, families and the community\, let’s discuss how to create a sense of belonging through play! \nObjectives: \n\nUnderstand the diversity of culture in early learning programs\nIdentify how to include culture\, traditions and diversity through play\nBuild connections with children\, families and communities\n\nThings to Keep in Mind: \n\nRegistration closes 24 hours in advance!\nPD funding available to eligible participants.\nThis workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.\nYou will need access to a smartphone\, laptop\, tablet or computer with audio capabilities to join us.\nA link will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to the workshop. Please click the link 10 minutes before the workshop begins to join in.\nCertificate of participation will be available to registered participants.\nAll registered participants will have 30 days access to the webinar recording.\nE-transfers to be sent to tina@inspiredmindsecc.ca\n\nZoom link is included in your ticket email.
