DESCRIPTION:Lunch & Learn Mini Webinar: Dispositions to Learn\nWelcome to our Lunch and Learn mini webinars! These online community webinars give you some practical strategies you can implement immediately! Lunch and Learn webinars are only 30 minutes and are offered over the lunch hour of 1:00-1:30PM. Each month\, we present a different topic to enhance your knowledge and teaching practices as early childhood educators. \nNovember 12\, 2024: Dispositions to Learn \nDispositions to learn are how children approach learning\, or learning tendencies. Their curiosity\, creativity\, persistence\, playfulness\, and even their cooperation are expressed through their play experiences and understanding of the world around them. To nurture this intrinsic motivation to learn\, we must provide a responsive environment that fosters these dispositions. See a child displaying a nurturing disposition? Have some plants for them to care for. Have a child who just won’t give up and keeps trying over and over? Cultivate their persistent disposition.
