DESCRIPTION:NEW! Indigenous Learning Series \nInspired Minds ECC is excited to announce our brand new learning opportunity  “Indigenous Learning Series” for early childhood educators. Inspired Minds ECC is pleased to welcome our guest presenter for these sessions\, Sherry Duncan\, as she shares with us her vast knowledge and experiences of Indigenous ways of knowing and being and early childhood. \nEvery month\, from August to December 2024\, we will invite you to join us for these learning sessions. \nNEW! Roots & Routes – Journey into land wisdom \nWhen looking at land based learning with an indigenous lens\, we are invited to consider a holistic view of nature\, a way of being and knowing that recognizes our relationships with “all our relations” which includes plants\, animals\, water\, land\, wind\, sun\, moon\, stars – everything seen and unseen. This session will explore the following. \n\nCircle Teachings\nLessons from the earth about reciprocity\nEnvironmental Scavenger hunt\nElement of art – textures in our environment\nButterfly Ball – lessons from an early childhood classroom\n\nUpcoming Webinars in our Indigenous Learning Series: \n\nWednesday\, October 23\, 2024: Roots & Routes – Journey into land wisdom\nWednesday\, November 27\, 2024: National Child Day – Conventions on the Rights of the Child\nWednesday\, December 18\, 2024: Voices of Tradition; Weaving indigenous literacy into your early childhood space(Registration Required for each session)\n\nThings to Keep in Mind: \n\nRegistration closes 24 hours in advance!\nThis workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.\nYou will need access to a smartphone\, laptop\, tablet or computer with audio capabilities to join us.\nA link will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to the workshop.
