DESCRIPTION:Lunch & Learn: Exploring Hygge \nWelcome to our NEW Lunch and Learn webinars! These are mini online community webinars that give you some effective strategies you can implement right away! Lunch and Learn webinars are only 30 minutes and are offered over the lunch hour of 12:30-1:00PM. Each month we will present a different topic that aims to enhance your knowledge and teaching practices as early childhood educators. \nNovember 14\, 2023: Exploring Hygge \nHygge. A Danish term that describes a feeling or moment that is ordinary or unique as cozy\, comforting and special. It’s not a single definition. It’s fluid. For me\, it’s all about creating a space where child feel a sense of belonging. Where they can explore or rest. A place where they can look with wonder and awe at an everyday item and see endless possibilities. A place where warm\, rich and nurturing relationships thrive. Hygge is a blend between our relationship with children and the environment we create. Join me as I share with you some of my favourite elements of hygge in our play environments and how it captures the flow and glow of everyday magic in child care. \nThings to Keep in Mind: \n\nNOTE: This lunch and learn will eb a recording.
